Gallery History
The Orleans Street Gallery officially opened within the Pheasant Run Resort in June 2003. Pheasant Run is the Midwest’s largest entertainment resort and is located in historic St. Charles. Thus, when we were presented with the opportunity of opening a gallery at the resort, its location seemed a natural choice to increase the exposure of Chicago-area artists to the western suburbs. Appropriately, our inaugural show, “Chicago Works on the Run,” featured works by Chicago artists inspired by the city. Since then we have exhibited a variety of group shows based on such wide-ranging themes as mixed media, still life, pop art, politics, and abstraction. The Orleans Street Gallery has also presented and will continue to present solo shows of individual artists.
Mission Statement
Orleans Street Gallery is committed to featuring the work of emerging and established artists from or having a connection to the Chicago area. We exhibit artwork of all styles and media, including representational and abstract painting, printmaking, photography, installation, mixed-media and conceptual work. Although the range of artwork shown is as diverse as Chicago and its surrounding suburbs, our unifying goal is to showcase artists committed to expressing their creative vision in a proficient and interesting manner.
